Tube Strike
I had planned how I was going to get to and from work.
The journey wasn’t a pleasant one. Leave very early to catch a bus which is nearly empty to get onto the Elizabeth Line.
I was going to walk for forty minutes like I did before, but someone asked me how I was getting to work, which made me think of looking for a better way, and I found one. I googled all the buses from near where I live and discovered one that took me to where I needed to go.
I still wasn't looking forward to it.
I woke up and looked at the live tube status and it said all of them were running! How could that be? We’d known about the tube strike for a week. I googled tube strike, and it said that an agreement had been made which meant calling the strike off only hours before.
The same thing happened last time too. Could some people have taken the bus without even knowing that the strike was off? I dread to think.
All this talk about tubes reminds me of a man that I saw on a platform a few weeks ago. It blew my mind!
There were tubes every minute, so as soon as one was pulling out, one was pulling in. As I was walking down the platform, a young man in business attire was heaving himself onto the platform from the tracks!
